SERVICE CRITERIA

  • Was the table clean and correctly set when you were seated?

  • Were you greeted in a warm and friendly manner? Were you greeted in an appropriate time frame?

  • Were you offered bottled still or sparkling water?

  • Were you asked if you were ready to order and informed of any 86s or 85s before ordering (if appropriate)?

  • Was your drink order taken at an appropriate time and repeated back to you in full?

  • Was the trainee able to demonstrate good knowledge of the drinks menu and offer appropriate recommendations?

  • If you asked an allergen question was the correct allergen procedure followed in full?

  • Were you offered nibbles and/or starters?

  • Were your drinks delivered within 3 minutes of ordering (5 min if big ticket or cocktails)? If you ordered wine, was the correct wine serve procedure followed?

  • Take a photo of your DRINKS

  • Was your food order taken at an appropriate time?

  • Was the trainee able to demonstrate good knowledge of the food menu and offer appropriate recommendations?

  • Were you encouraged to explore any additional menu items?

  • Was your food order repeated back to you in full?

  • Did your starter arrive within 10 minutes of being ordered? If ticket time was not met but table was touched by the MOD select 'YES'.

  • Take a photo of STARTER

  • Did you receive a check-back on your starter within an appropriate time frame?

  • Was your starter cleared within appropriate time frame?

  • Did you receive appropriate pre-lay (cutlery, side plates etc) for your main course?

  • Did your main course arrive within 8 minutes of your starter being cleared (15 min without starters)? If ticket time was not met but table was touched by the MOD select 'YES'.

  • Take a photo of MAIN COURSE

  • Were you offered condiments with your main meal?

  • Did you receive a check-back on your main within an appropriate time frame?

  • Was your main cleared within appropriate time frame?

  • Were you given a dessert menu after your main course had been cleared and informed of hot drinks?

  • Did you receive appropriate pre-lay for your dessert?

  • Was your dessert served within 10 minutes of ordering? If ticket time was not met but table was touched by the MOD select 'YES'.

  • Take a photo of DESSERT

  • Were your desserts cleared within appropriate time frame?

  • Was your payment taken quickly and efficiently?

  • Where you informed about the Loyalty app during your customer journey?

  • Were you thanked by the trainee and bid farewell?

  • Did the trainee maintain control over their section throughout their test?

  • To the best of your knowledge did the server endeavour to practise our values throughout your customer journey?

  • Do you feel the server showed genuine care for your experience?

  • How helpful and approachable did you feel the sever was?

  • Did you feel like the service was tailored appropriately to your needs?

  • Did the server enhance your experience in a specific way?

  • If you experienced a problem during the meal, did the trainee react in an appropriate manner? Were you aware of the problem being brought to the MOD's attention?

  • COMMENTS - please be detailed. Feedback to both trainee and trainer once the test is complete.
