Checklist of On-Site Duties

  • Is the waterline clean and free of any scum build up such as sunscreen?

  • Pool vacuumed and clear of ALL debris in and around pool area.

Baskets

  • Skimmer(s) cleaned out and free of any splits or holes.

  • Pump basket (s) cleaned out and free of any splits or holes.

Filters

  • Sand filter backwashed and rinsed. Free of any leaks.

  • MPV rotates freely and has sufficient spring tension. Not leaking from stem.

  • Cartridge internal element needs replacing?

  • Cartridge filter cleaned and not leaking from lid when under pressure.

Pump (s)

  • Is the pump noisy and in need of new bearings?

  • Is there water coming from underneath the pump motor and is it likely to be the mechanical seal in need of replacement?

  • Are all the pool pumps on site working properly?

Sanitising systems.

  • Chlorinated cell and flow pad clean and free of calcium build up.

  • Cell head not leaking and O ring lubricated sufficiently.

  • Time clock on control box reading correct time.

  • Terminals connecting cell to control box in good condition and not frayed. Making good connection to cell head.

Ioniser systems

  • Copper rods in good condition free of build up.

  • Oxidiser cell free of calcium build up and reading above 12 on LED display.

Valves

  • All valves operating freely with handles intact. Also check non-return valves for debris.

Solar heating.

  • Solar heating working properly?

Plumbing

  • Any visible signs of leaking water from pipes or tails?

O Rings

  • All O rings look to be in good shape and lubricated?

Pool Safety

  • CPR sign is on site in good condition and readable.

  • All gates close properly when released from 100mm out and all spring sets look intact and tensioned?

  • All gate latches working correctly?

  • Perimeter fencing is in good condition with no gaps more than 100mm visible in the fence?

  • Is the pool equipment shed free of old chemical bottles, broken hoses and general debris?

BEFORE YOU LEAVE SITE

  • Any repairs require a model number and picture. Are there any repairs that require a pic attached to the job.

  • Is the sanitising system on AUTO

  • Is the current water level sufficient to run the pool effectively until our next visit.

  • Have you closed all gates that access the pool, regardless of whether they were chocked open when I got there?

  • Is the pool pole and vacuum hoses etc stored neatly and in the correct place?

  • Have you left a calling card to advise the owner of your visit?

  • Was the Client on site during the visit?

  • If the pool was “shock dosed” have the on site residents been advised of the correct waiting period before swimming?
