Are Flash back arrestors installed at the regulator and hand piece on both the Oxygen and Acetylene lines?

Are the Flashback arrestors marked with the date they are to be removed or put into service? Note arrestors shall be replaced every 12 months, some departments may have a ZPM#3 and change on a set day within the department, confirm process if date not sighted.

Are there signs of discoloration near Flash back Arrestors? (inspect hose and knobs on handpiece)

Is the Oxygen Gauge pressure reading 200kpa and Acetylene Gauge reading 75 Kpa? (if gauge not working, remove from service, designated pressures stated above, if reading above reduce regulator flow)

Is the Oxygen Gauge and Acetylene contents gauge working? (if not working, remove from service)

Are both regulators color-coded? RED & BLACK

Are the hoses approved for use? red for Acetylene, blue for Oxygen, rated & approved for use

Are all connections tightened firmly with wrench?

Are the fittings connected to the hose approved eg factory crimped/screwed fittings? (remove if hose clamp or crimp is used)

Do the hoses show any signs of cracking/deformation/burns that can impact on hose integrity?

Does the equipment have any oil or grease evidence? (highly combustible)

Has the cutting tip been inspected and in good order?

Conduct leak detection of hoses fittings, torch valves, and tip to confirm no leaks are present on the unit being inspected?
