Operating Sequence

  • To prepare for the turn-down service, the housekeeper must follow the steps outlined below:

  • Perform the turn-down service based on the number of guests staying in the room.

  • In rooms with a king-size bed, it is done on the both sides of the bed.

  • In rooms with twin beds, but one guest, it is done on the right side of the bed the guest is using. If two guests are staying in the room, it is done on the right side of each bed.

  • If the room has an extra bed, a sofa-bed and/or a baby crib, the turn-down service is also performed on them.

  • Note: Follow this standard in all cases, except when the guest verbally or visually gives instructions to the contrary.

  • Remove the decorative cushions and the bedspread, and place them as per the standard.

  • Turn down the duvet or blanket, as per the standard outlined below.

  • Cover the bed as per the standard.

  • Remove and fold the blanket /duvet down to the feet of the bed.

  • Remove the pillows.

  • Fold the upper corner of the bed sheet, making an inverted “V”-shaped fold.

  • Stand the pillows against the headrest.

  • Exchange dirty sheets when necessary.

  • Place a candy or sweet amenity, and the remote control on the folded corner of the sheet.

  • If pijamas are out, place each on its corresponding: man’s and woman’s, as identified by clues on the bed and night table.

  • Turn on the night table lamps or reading lights, as applicable. -

  • Leave a bottle of water and glass over the coaster on each side the night table.

  • Place slippers on both sides of the bed, as per the standard. Applies for VIP, Presidential and Chairman

  • If bathrobes are in the bathroom, leave them hanging in front. Otherwise, they should be hung in the bathroom. Remove the clean bathrobe from the closet.

  • Cleaning the bathroom area:

  • Remove the trash.

  • Check the general cleanliness of the whole bathroom:

  • Jacuzzi, sink, taps, shower, walls, toilet, mirrors, vanity mirror, bathroom door.

  • Clean decorative items in the bathroom, and exchange fresh flowers if required.

  • Restock toilet paper, if required, and decorate with the standard courtesy, as per the standard.

  • Clean the bathroom phone.

  • Clean the inside and outside of windows, window frames, and window meshes.

  • Wash crystal items and the coffee machine, as required, with the white sponge; also wash the ashtray, if applicable.

  • Dry the whole bathroom with the proper supplies.

  • Restock towels. If the towel used by guests was left hanging, follow the provisions of the eco-card and do not exchange it for a clean one.

  • Replace sanitary bags.

  • Replace the corresponding amenities, as per the standard.

  • Leave clean bathroom glasses with new coursers.

  • Replace Kleenex tissue paper, with the proper decorative courtesy.

  • Check and clean the hair dryer holder and the hair dryer.

  • Sweep and mop the floor.

  • Visually inspect the whole area.

  • Turn on the TV

  • Place the SPA promotion channel on the TV.
