Safety Inspection

  • There is a pre-start book located in the plant

  • All warning decals in place and in clearly readable condition

  • Windows clean, not cracked, and provide clear vision

  • Isolation switch in place and working correctly

  • Access steps and ladders intact and provide safe access

  • Seat belt undamaged and in the correct position

  • Operation safety lever in place and working correctly

  • Cabin seat is secure and undamaged

  • Floor of cabin is in good condition and free of obstacles

  • Operation mirrors are in place, undamaged, and well positioned

  • Safety lights including flashing light in good working order

  • Movement and reversing alarms are fully operational

  • Safety lock is in place and operational

  • Emergency Stop inside and outside of cab

  • Condition of all wheels and undercarriage is acceptable.

General Inspection

  • Radiator appears clear for air flow and no blockages found

  • Radiator cap in good working order and no signs of leakage

  • Battery is in good condition and is secured

  • Tracks are in good condition and are tensioned

  • No oil leaks emanating from under the machine

  • Fully automatic hitch. If applicable, safety pin in place

  • No evidence of work equipment cylinder oil leaks

  • Hydraulic hose in good working conditions and no oil leaks

  • Outer body panels of machine in acceptable condition

  • All gauges appear in good condition

  • Exhaust system undamaged and in good working order

  • No sign of damage in air filter housing

  • Engine appears to be breathing well and in good working order

  • All fluids are topped up and in good working order

  • UHF located on plant

  • If no, please provide a handheld UHF

  • Fire extinguisher located on plant and within 6 months of tested date
