  • On reading the SWMS are the hazards identified and appear to be consistent with the site, can the sub contractor explain the specialised section of the SWMS as related to this site

  • Are all the employees of the sub contractor direct employees of the subcontractor

  • Do all the employees of the sub contractor have the appropriate PPE for the site.

  • Is traffic control required and are they an approved sub contractor

  • If using any type of mobile plant and equipment , are all the safety equipment available and being used.

  • If using a excavator, is the sub contractor aware of the requirements of the use of quick hitch.

  • When operating mobile plant and equipment is the sub contractor aware of the required distances from energised electrical systems.

  • If using any type of equipment that requires the use of stabilising legs, is packing being used under the stabilising legs

  • Is the sub contractor using and electrical equipment such as drill and leads, are they in test and current.

  • Does the sub contractor have adequate first aid kits and fire extinguishers.
