Method

  • Logs on to RF with terminal ID, employee ID, employee password and 3-digit forklift ID

Put-a-way

  • Travels directly to the put-a-way pallet

  • Do not skip an unfinished lane once started

  • Obtain pallet(s) from dock, stacking when possible

  • Informs receiver of problem with pallets on dock

  • RF scan each license plate, from top down , taken from dock during one trip - Push F2 to travel

  • Travels a direct route from dock to put- a way location

  • Operator places pallet to location as directed, license plate facing out, scan rack location

  • If reserve slot is occupied by a pallet miss-placed by one bay, fix and continue, or red zone

  • If placed to pick slot, remove slot pallet, removes wrap, handle cases, Red Zone excessive cases

  • Performs required rotation on all applicable items. Replace any pallets moved to do put-a-way

  • Pick up any generated empty pallets, place on bottom of stack if more pallets to be put-a-way

  • In the case of exceptions, pallets should be taken to red zone

  • Return to dock promptly for next load, after completion of current load; drop off empty pallets

Replenishment

  • Works slot as directed, over rides system only when necessary

  • Responds to empty "enough" slots as they are encountered; finishes aisle before moving on

  • Sets down empty pallet stack close to home slot, same side of aisle

  • Removes empty pallet and additional cases from slot and place on top of empty pallet stack.

  • Travels directly to reserve slot

  • Verifies slot number before removing product from reserve; scans bar code immediately

  • Removes product in first in/first out order, if possible

  • Travels directly from reserve slot

  • Dismount once for cutting wrap/tape, replace previous pallet cases, sweep slot as needed

  • Place pallet to home slot, do not double stack pallets in slot

  • Replace any pallets moved to do replenishment; rotate as required

  • Obtain empty pallet stack (if there is one) and proceed to next pick slot for replenishment

  • NDM finish aisle, DMD does nearby moves next; minimize travel time between replenishments

  • Regularly takes empty pallets (10 pallets) from assigned aisle; places in designated area

  • Trash is accumulated on forklift and dropped off periodically enroute or gathered into piles

  • Damaged cases brought to the damaged area, by job; Complete "warehouse damage form"

  • Inform supervisor of all sanitation problems, spill and other non-forkable damaged product
