Go to a manual call point unit and firmly press the black dot in the Centre on the call point, the sounders will start.

Use the white reset key to reset the unit

Go to the control panel, turn the key to enable controls

Press silence/sound alarm to stop the sounders

Press Reset

Unknown Activation - Checks

Make sure There is no fire.

Go to the control panel and the display will show the fire location and a zone LED will be lit.

At the control panel, turn the key to enable controls and press the silence/sounds alarm.

Investigate the area/zone which has caused the activation.

Check all manual call point units within the zone, to make sure the glass has not been damaged.

Check all smoke/heat detectors within the zone, the detector which has caused the activation will have a red light illuminated on it.

Once you are certain that there is no fire, press the reset button.

If a detector has gone off for no reason, report the fault to render alarms on 01642 230696.

Document the activation in your fire alarm log book.
