GENERAL

  • Is the frame overhang on the slab a maximum of 10mm?

  • Are all niches/plaster openings checked for placement and dimensions?

  • Are columns plumb and square with no twist?

  • Are all bulkheads level & installed (+/- 5mm over 3.0m)?

  • Are stair void dimensions as per plans with ground and first floor walls aligned?

  • Is garage beam temporarily supported and noggins in place for garage door?

WALL FRAMING

  • Are walls straight and plumb (+/- 4mm from vertical over 2.0m) with ceiling heights as per floor plan?

  • Are top and bottom wall plates secure and straight with frame tie down completed as per engineering?

  • Are wall junctions fixed with 200mm blocking at maximum 800mm centers?

  • Are internal wall / truss ties installed at 1800mm centres?

  • Are roof access trimmer in place and positioned as per floor plan (check access for lower roof areas)?

UPPER FLOOR SYSTEM

  • Are joists installed as per detail with blocking fitted correctly, voids clear and all penetrations clear of joists?

  • Are correct joist to supporting beam connections in place?

  • Is bracing installed to end of joists?

  • Is sheet flooring screwed at 200mm centres and 150mm at butt joints?

  • Are shower step downs 35mm (fully supported, studs at 300mm centres with trimmers installed)?

TRUSS ROOF

  • Are trusses plumb / straight with all creepers installed (max 50mm out of plumb and max 50mm bow in any chord)?

  • Are truss connection meeting accurately and flush to bottom chords?

  • Is blocking installed to valley / saddle trusses with greater than 450mm cantilever?

  • Are eaves overhang as per plan with valley boards and box gutters fully supported?

  • Are saddles installed to jack trusses greater than 1800mm and/or as per the truss layout?

  • Are bolts installed to load brackets and saddles as per the truss layout and/or engineering?

  • Are triple grips installed to creeper / hip connections as per the truss layout and/or engineering?

  • Is roof bracing installed as per layout and nailed correctly?

  • Are truss tie downs installed as per the truss layout and/or engineering?

  • Are shear block installed as required?

STRUCTURAL

  • Are the connections a per the engineers design and layout?

  • Are the correct plate tie downs in place?

  • Are studs placed under truss point loads (Crush plates under girder truss & load points)?

  • Is blocking is placed at joists level for point loads, transferred down to slab?

  • Is bracing installed and secured in accordance with engineers detail (PT brace fitted with 16mm threat rod).

  • Are wall braces nails correctly with 2 nails per plate?

  • Are sheet braces nailed correctly?

  • Are tensioners installed to all hoop iron braces?

WINDOWS AND DOORS

  • Are window / door frames secure & level with packers installed with 65mm galvanized nails 3 per side?

  • Are flashing installed to sill section of timber windows and timber door frames?

  • Are stiffening boards installed for aluminium windows over 1500mm in width?

  • Are window trimmers installed (not on flat)?

  • Is window spacing / height correct as per floor plan with overlooking window sill heights 1700mm minimum?

  • Is window protection in place?

HOUSEKEEPING

  • Have all of cuts/debris been placed in rubbish cage?

FINAL

  • Have all areas of the house checked for the above mentioned items?

  • Each party involved in the supply and Install is responsible to provide completed works that are consistent with the quality expectations of the Principle Contractor. This allows all subsequent trades and suppliers the ability to perform additional works without delays to duration and quality. Therefore, it is incumbent on each party to monitor and ensure all of the works are checked and verified for the appropriate quality standards prior to the completion of works

  • If any Installation, Fabrication or other framing item is identified throughout the project duration it is a requirement that the item, not matter how minor, it is recorded in this shared document. Record item(s) and additional information required for the resolution in the fields provided. In order to achieve the desired outcome please ensure the details noted are brief, accurate and written in a way that others sharing this document will understand. For further explanation and clarification add photos to the description.
