  • Driver wearing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)? At a minimum Certa issued safety boots, helmet, fire resistant anti static top and pants

  • Has the driver parked in a safe location?

  • Has the driver switched off the vehicle master switch?

  • Has the driver set up an exclusion one around the truck to reduce risk of unauthorised entry to work area?

  • Has the driver connected the scully prior to offloading?

  • Has the driver connected the vapour recovery prior to offloading?

  • Before offloading, has the driver checked the storage tank ullage to confirm there is sufficient ullage for the offload? (note; drivers must get an ullage print out to confirm ullage where there are ullage printers installed. For depots that do not have ullage printer, drivers must take a reading from the on site gauge)

  • Has the driver stayed in attendance at the offloading point during the offloading process?

  • Are the storage tanks, pipework and inlet points unambiguously labelled & painted correctly to avoid confusion?

  • Has driver disconnected scully after offloading is completed?

  • Has driver disconnected vapour recovery after offloading is completed?

  • Is the offloading area clear of any potential hazards?

  • Does the driver have an in date fire extinguisher and first aid kit within the truck cab?

  • Does the driver have spill kit on board?

  • Have you any safety observations that have not been captured in the above questions?
