Internal/External Common Parts Cleaning Specification - Daily

  • Clean front door inside and outside, remove any rubbish from around the front door, clean company name plate. Vacuum clean entrance area floor; wash all hard floors, clean brass handrails

  • External cigarette bins to be emptied when needed into non-combustible containers, and thoroughly cleaned, to be checked daily.

  • Clean and polish exception desk to be damp wiped leaving smear free, empty and clean bin, fit new bin liner. All waste to be taken to the bin store and disposed of.

  • All balustrades are to be dusted and handrails to be polished

  • Wipe clean all light switches, door finger plates, kick plates, skirting boards and general door furniture and carefully wipe clean any fire extinguishers

  • Doors (including door vision panels) etc... Are to be cleaned using a damp chamois leather and polished with a dry cloth

  • Lift call panels are to be cleaned removing all finger marks

Staircase & Landings

  • Vacuum clean stairs and wash clean any non-slip nosings

  • Wipe clean balustrades

  • Wipe clean and polish handrails

  • Dust all window sills and ledges

  • Doors (including door vision panels) etc., are to be cleaned using damp chamois leather and polished with a dry cloth

  • Wipe clean all light switches, door finger plates and general door furniture and carefully wipe clean any fire extinguishers

Toilets

  • Floors are to be swept and cleared of all litter. Litter so collected is to be placed into black bags, sealed, and removed to the four wheeled plastic bins to the rear of the premises. The floors are to be washed down with a germicidal disinfectant cleaning agent and shall be left clean, dry and free from smears.

  • The inside and outside of WC pans are to be washed, cleaned and disinfected, the outside is to be polished with a dry cloth, and they shall be left clean and hygienic condition free from smears. 3

  • All stock to be checked

  • WC seats are to be washed, cleaned and disinfected and left in a clean and hygienic condition free from smears

  • Wipe clean all pipes, taps, cistern handles, light switches, door finger plates and general door furniture, polish bright metal fittings

  • Any soap dispensers are to be checked for operation, any blockages being cleared. The nozzles will be wiped clean and the dispensers washed, cleaned and disinfected and left clean and hygienic condition free from smears

  • Any soap holders are to be washed, cleaned and disinfected and left in a clean and hygienic condition free from smears

  • Ensure that there are adequate supplies of toilet rolls, soap, roller towels, and paper towels

Toilets - Monthly

  • Dose toilet pans with chemical cleaner. After leaving for manufacturer's recommended time, ensure all lavatories are flushed with clear water and no chemical remains by 0600 hours.

  • Dust internal lighting with long reach duster. Including the two large high level lamp shades at east and west entrances

Toilets - Quarterly

  • De-Scale and sterilisation of all taps outlets.

  • Cleaning of all external windows including internal common area windows (Reach & Wash Only)

  • Cleaning glass behind Juliet balconies

  • Lifting of pavement grills, remove all rubbish and jet wash clean

Lifts

  • Thoroughly clean all doors, surrounds and trim, internal and external

  • Clean mirrors with a damp chamois leather, polish with a dry cloth leaving smear free

  • Clean, removing all finger marks, all floor selection panels and emergency intercom panel

  • Thoroughly vacuum clean floors and remove all stains. Thoroughly clean out door channels.

  • Clean floor indicator panels

  • Report any faulty indicators, call buttons or lamps noticed, to security.

Cleaners Room and Store Rooms

  • Cleaner's rooms are to be kept clean and tidy and locked at all times.

  • Check stocks of cleaning material and replenish as necessary

  • Except for large items of equipment or unopened boxed items, cleaning materials and stock of consumables etc... For replenishing lavatories shall not be kept on there floor. They shall be kept on shelves or in lockers as appropriate and, in case of cleaning agents and chemicals, generally in accordance with the manufacturers instructions and in compliances with COSHH regulations and good, safe working practice
