Reception Area & Entrance - Daily

  • Such areas are of high importance and much be left In a first class condition at all times

  • Vacuum all floor areas including entrance matting

  • Damp mop hard floor surfaces with the correct floor maintainer

  • Floor area to be machine burnished as appropriate

  • Dust entry system

  • All glass to be spot cleaned giving special attention to entrance doors and panels

  • Damp-wipe doors, door furniture and legit switches to remove hand marks

  • Remove all hand marks and scuffs from doors, walls and paintwork

  • Remove cobwebs

  • Exterior front entrance to be kept clean and free of litter, chewing gum and leaves and washed daily

  • All signs and pictures to be dusted / wiped / polished as appropriate

  • Rugs and mats to be vacuumed cleaned, including any matting in doorways, removing all signs of dust and dirt

  • Sweep clean all steps and walkways to entrance. Dust and wipe clean all signs, windows and ledges to entrances.

Lifts - Daily

  • Thoroughly clean all doors to a buffed finish removing hand marks.

  • Wipe and buff mirrors

  • Clean, removing all finger marks, all floor selection panels and emergency intercom panel.

  • Clean floor indicator panels

  • Report any faulty indicators, call buttons or lamps noticed to building manager.

Staircase & Landings

  • Mop stairs and wash clean any non-slip nosings

  • Wipe and polish balustrades

  • Wipe clean and polish hand rails

  • Dust all window sills and ledges

  • Wipe clean all light switches, door finger plates and general door furniture

  • Dust/wipe fire extinguishers (weekly)

  • Remove cobwebs (weekly)

Toilets - Daily

  • Thoroughly sweep all floors

  • Thoroughly wash all floors using germicidal disinfectant detergent and leave smear free.

  • Empty and replace waste bins, collect litter and transfer to disposal points. Bin liners are to be change daily

  • Replenish consumable items from clients stock or as supplied by PSS.

  • Wash WC pans, wash basins using germicidal disinfectant and dry polish

  • Damp-dust and dry-polish taps and all plated metal work

  • Dry-polish mirrors

  • Damp-dust dryers, pipes, cisterns, sanitary disposal units and towel cabinets

  • Remove finger marks from painted Formica and tiled surfaces

Cleaners Room and Store Rooms

  • Cleaner's rooms are to be kept clean and tidy at all times

  • Floors are to be swept and cleared of all litter

  • Waste paper bins, to be emptied and sacks taken to the plastic bins at the rear of the premises

  • After emptying the bins should be wasted down, cleaned and disinfected (inside and out) polished dry and left in a clean hygienic condition free from smears. New liners should be fitted to each waste bin.

  • Any sinks or wash hand basins/taps to be washed, cleaned and disinfected, polished dry and left in a clean and hygienic condition free from smears.

  • Check stocks of cleaning materials and replenish as necessary
