  • Compressed gas cylinders must be handled with extreme caution. Maintain the cylinder in an upright position at all times.

  • All cylinders must be in a cart or tied off in order to prevent the cylinder from falling.

  • Remove Cylinders from building when not used for 24 hours.

  • All valves must have a regulator attached in order to use.

  • When opening cylinders open slowly and stand to the side avoid injury if the regulator malfunctions.

  • Move cylinders using carts or dolleys. Dragging, pushing, or pulling is prohibated.

  • Protective Caps are on all cylinders not in use.

  • Visually inspect cylinders for leaks and cracks. Inspect relief devices, valves, and protection caps and stems.

  • Cylinders must be stored 20 feet from all combustibles and ensure proper signage is in place.

  • No smoking near compressed gas cylinders.
