Scales

  • AGOM 5.3; A documented scale verification is required a minimum of once every 14 days or after scale maintenance, with a certified weight at least five percent of the scale capacity, unless notified otherwise by the Air Carrier, FAA or EASA

  • AGOM 5.3; At least every 90 days, each scale shall be calibrated by an authorized vendor

Red Tagged Area

  • Observe the site's red tagged area and answer the following questions

  • GSE Procedure Appendix A - Equipment Safety; Sites shall have a designated red tag area for the unit to be staged in order to drive awareness that it is not to be used and all red tags placed on the equipment are to be clearly visible to the operator (steering column, ladders, tow bars, etc.)

  • AGOM 3.4.6; For all GSE requiring repair, Associates are required to tag-out equipment and place in a red tag area

Parked GSE/Cleanliness

  • GSE Procedure Appendix A - Equipment Safety 2.3; GSE must be kept clean and orderly at all times. Personal items are not to be stored in GSE

  • GSE Procedure Appendix A - Parking 7.1.2; Park not-in-use GSE in designated GSE parking areas

  • GSE Procedure Appendix A - Parking 7.1.2; After operation, GSE operator must return GSE to designated 5S parking locations in the respective parking configurations • Apparatus’ stowed or retracted, including, but not limited to hand rails, conveyors, elevators, lines / hoses, etc. • Wheels are chocked or stabilizers deployed as applicable • All doors closed, windows shut, and switches returned to their original settings; and • Remove all personal items and trash.
