Has a risk assessment and method statement been prepared

Is area prepared for this element / builders work complete

Agree setting out points: provide datum marks

Check that structural steelwork contact surfaces are isolated from aluminium products

Agree protection of fixed materials for as long as possible

Check alignment of mullions and transoms as work proceeds

Check method of fixing curtain wall frame work to the structure

Check the methods used to seal the ends of mullions and transoms

Check that the subcontractor is using the correct fixings and are material compatible

Check that all DPMs are in place at junctions in the structure

Check DPMs and methods of jointing and sealing at parapet cappings and continuous cills

Ensure that glass is packed clear of window frame sections on all edges

Check all sealant pointing

Check the fitting of all glazing gaskets for clean, secure fit

Check window and door operation

Check that any solid panels have all round clearance and that they are securely fitted

Check spigot connections for a good seal and that they will permit thermal movement

Check for surface damage to all components

Check that rain outlet points in the glazing system are clear of debris and sealant

Instruct the subcontractor to clean all the surfaces prior to Clerk of Works inspection
