Is the driver of the vehicles declared competent, licensed or authorised to use the vehicle? Check for a valid driver’s license? (Vehicle / forklift / truck / tankers etc.)

Does the vehicle have a valid license? Check for suitability e.g. Transportation of dangerous goods, Food transportation

Is the vehicle equipped with the correct tram card for the product being transported? (Flammable, no smoking etc.)

Are the driver taking regular breaks when traveling long distances? (If applicable ask the driver)

Are the safest route taken to reach your destination? (If applicable ask the driver)

Are the vehicle inspected before use? (Check pre use inspection or ask the driver)

Are the driver obeying traffic rules? (Speed, road signs and road markings etc.)

Are chock-blocks used behind the wheels when a vehicle is parked at the plant? (Two chock-blocks to be used)

Are drivers and passengers wearing their safety belts?

Are drivers keeping a safe distance from the vehicle in front?

Are first aid boxes available in vehicles that travel long distances and travels off-site?

Are vehicles fitted with additional safety requirements? (E.g. warning triangle, fire extinguisher and check for emergency contact numbers).
