Where flammable gases may exist, was the test conducted prior to start of work?

Is the equipment to be worked on properly decontaminated to remove all combustibles and flammable substances? (Check the decontamination method and its adequacy)

Is a competent standby available at the work site? (The standby should be able to use the emergency equipment provided in the interest of health and safety)

Is the necessary emergency equipment available for use and in a good condition? (E.g. fire extinguishers, running water etc.) (check permit requirements)
