PM Shift Check List August 2023

  • Count till, check it matches what is says in cashier before 2PM

  • Scan HK List and move it to: Check List- Housekeeping

  • Bed count matches with MEWS + common room and kitchen (before HK leaves)

  • All sheets are washed, dried, and put away neatly in the correct places

  • Check if plants need to be watered ( twice or three times a week) Water plants; in front of room 17, BBQ aerea, Buddha garden

  • Follow up any payment request missing from the shift before. All payments to be done by 4PM.b

  • Contact any reservations for today without an ETA, if they arrive outside reception hours, make sure you ask for all their contact details (email, phone number, DOB, name and surname) and then send them the late arrival email with the code of the safe (key cards)

  • Organise late check ins, if you have all the details (send late check in information and document and let night manager know). If you don't have the details, please email them to get: full name, DOB, phone number and email address. If you can't personally see the ID before check in ask them to come to reception the day after to get the information.

  • Code key cards and put them in the safe with check in details. Make sure you send the email with the safe code.

  • 5PM Put pool robot in the pool, clean out filters before using

  • Check and clean dryers lint filters (both staff and guests) every day

  • Walk around the hostel: Check for clean tea towels in the kitchen (replace the dirty or wet ones for new ones, clean dishes that have been left behind and wipe down bench tops with cleaning cloths, not tea towels)

  • Place sheets on late arrival dorm beds.

  • Restock drink fridge, if any extra stock needed, write in comms log

  • Do a shout out on the microphone for the next day activity, yoga, lighthouse walk, bbq.

  • Charge daytime mobile phone if needed

  • Clean reception (wipe and sweep) and empty bins.

  • 7:30PM Take the pool robot out and store it in the cupboard next to reception, bring in hammocks

  • 7:45PM PUT STOP SELL ON MEWS. Double check it works by attempting to make a booking for today.

  • 7:55PM Close pool area

  • Make sure everyone is checked in on Mews, including late check ins. CHECK OUT BIKES

  • Count till, ensure it matches what it says on cashier, put your cash up in money wallet ( with a note saying date, how much you are cashing up and whether it is up or down)

  • Check safe $1200, till is $300, put it in safe and LOCK SAFE

  • Click close shift on Cashier and put $300 in the base value correction

  • Turn off AC

  • Handover with Night Manager: Give folder with guest list, marker, phone. Communicate any late arrivals

  • Put everything (linen, grey tub etc) into reception

  • check the cage downstairs with the bikes is closed

  • Put up Night Managers signs (reception door)

  • Lock reception, lock bolt on front door
