TILING

  • Check tile selections are correct

  • Check that tiles are as per selections sheet

  • All surfaces to be tiles have been primes and sealed or water proofed (double water proofing over living areas)

  • Silicone all door (timer and sliding) tiled sills

  • Timber floors must be primed before tiling, joints taped & wastes cleared before screed

  • Excess screeding must not enter floor traps

  • Do not mix concrete screed on garage floors

  • All corners to have a consistently cleaned (no grout or glue) 3mm gap for siliconing junctions

  • Tiling floors shall not pond (1:60 in shower, 1:80 in other wet areas)

  • All external corners to use tile trim and check colour or mitre check selections sheet

  • If floor tiling large areas, control joints must confirm to BCA requirements

  • When tiling door or window sills, the render on the face must be 70mm down, straight and square

  • All floor tiling ends to have angles and finish at the inside edge of the door stop

  • Grout is to be mixed correctly, uniformed in colour, free of pinholes and voids (refer to document grouting made easy) tile booster must be used

  • Full tiling is to be applied behind the washing machine and laundry trough at 800mm wide

  • Spare tiles are to remain on site and stored in the pantry or under stairs

  • All wastes checked and cleared after finishing grouting
