1.0 ACTIVITY : Water.

  • Evidence of set out for works.

  • Water Sub Contractor Onsite

  • Copy of code standards available to workers on site.

1.2 Safety - Trenching, Pipelaying,Backfill

  • Have workers been provided with ladder were required in trench/sheild

  • Is lifting equipment suitable for the works being carried out.

  • Are hats and vests being worn by workers where required

  • Are trenches barricaded and made safe when left open.

1.3 Environmental - Earthworks, Excavation.

  • Does plant and equipment have suitable warning lights and reversing beepers

  • Is there provision to minimize dust / mud from leaving the site.

  • Are silt traps in place to prevent silt build up in previously installed drainage system.

  • Are environmental No Go areas fenced where required.

1.4 Works - Trenching, Pipe-laying,

  • Is there an accredited pipe layer on site where required.

  • Does the sub contractor have the current design.

  • Type of pipe being used as per design drawings.

  • Are pipes being installed as per design.

  • Are pipes being stored on site as required.

  • Are pipes being laid at correct depth.

  • Is ground support suitable for the ground conditions and depth of excavation.

  • Are trench widths adequate for pipe size/ type.

  • Does trench backfill material comply with standard drawings and specifications

  • Are clearances to other services being maintained as per specification.

  • Has the concrete for thrusts been placed as per design.

  • Property services being placed and marketed at completion of works section.

  • Are end caps being used during construction where required.

  • Has barrier/par webbing been placed around open holes waiting on further works.

  • Is compaction being done by contractor,and tested by registered contractor.

  • Has damaged road and footpaths been fixed after completion of works.

  • Has connection to water main completed

  • Has swabbing been under taken

1.4 Hydrant & Valve-Inspection

  • We're swabs marked with job number and numbers.

  • Fittings as per standard drawings

  • Hydrant covers as design drawings.

  • Depth of hydrant reflective of finished surface level.

  • Are valve covers and hydrant lids set up to finished levels.

  • Hydrant reflectors been placed on road surface.

  • Have hydrant marker's been placed at completion of works.

  • Are valve spindles on valves at acceptable height.

  • Have markings been placed on concrete kerb and channel to indicate service crossings.<br>

  • Top soiling been completed at end of works.
