Store Entrance

  • Is the front of the store well presented, free from weeds with the correct window posters, opening hours correctly displayed and all lights working

  • Does the entrance feel welcoming with no clutter, baskets available, floor clean and swept and correct promotional offer visible

Food to go

  • Is the food to go area well displayed with strong availability, clean, and fully ticketed. Where applicable is the coffee machine operating and clean. Is the meal deal set up and all POS in place (Check relevant product)

Produce

  • Is the produce section aesthetically pleasing, clean and are all products in date

  • Is all fresh produce following WIBI principles

  • Are all SEL’s & Country of origins correctly displayed

  • Are availability levels acceptable

  • Is the produce section merchandised with category principles in place (Blocking etc)

Fresh Foods

  • Check meat quality and ensure all product is in date

  • Are cleaning standards acceptable, all grills clean and no sign of damaged stripping.

  • Check milk and ensure clean as you go principles in place

  • Does every product have an SEL

  • Is availability to an acceptable standard

  • Is Chilled section laid out compliant to planograms

  • Are merchandising standards acceptable

ISB/BIBC

  • Is BIBC available, clean, in date and fully ticketed. Check for promotional compliance

  • Is any ISB product fresh and of acceptable quality

Frozen Foods

  • Is the freezer clean

  • Is availability acceptable

  • Is the frozen section laid out compliant with planograms

BWS

  • Is the BWS section well displayed with strong availability, and all promotional POS in place

  • Is age restricted POS displayed on every bay?

  • Does every item have a SEL

Promotions

  • Is promotion set up in line with EBOR Promo guide, correct ends implemented and correct floor stacks in place? Does the store have the right POS offer (Check 5 in run promotions)

Grocery/Non Foods

  • Well merchandised, clean, good availability and no missing tickets

  • Are clip strips full, relevant, and consistently placed with correct SELs

Checkouts

  • Is the store reacting to queues at the time of the visit

  • Is the checkout area clutter free and easy to use

  • Check tobacco availability, is it acceptable

  • Are all checkout displays fully stocked and correctly ticketed

  • Is product of the week correct and been pushed by the team

Back of house

  • Is the warehouse tidy and organised with stock levels under control and 1 product principles in place

  • Are offices tidy and organised

  • Are colleague areas clean and tidy with up to date comms in place

  • Is back yard tidy and swept, all cages and cardboard sent back and overall presentable

Compliance

  • Are all relevant compliance books in use

  • Spot check store compliance book for cleaning and temp control. Cross check cleaning to most recent task for physical examination.

  • Check Chip & pin ch cos completed daily
