Software Install

  • DVD and Roxio installed (for Dell or HP)

  • Adobe Reader, Java and Flash Player installed?

Once joined to domain

  • Audit current computer and compare software installs to ensure all software is reinstalled

  • Sophos antivirus installed?

  • User has administrator rights if Autocad is installed.<br>User has standard rights if Autocad is not installed.

  • Autocad installed using user's login if a CAD workstation.

  • Springbrook shortcut created under public desktop if user needs it?

  • .NET framework 4.0 full installed needed if springbrook is installed?

  • Disable all forms of sleep/hibernate<br>

  • Desktop icons for word, excel, outlook, helpdesk, copied to all users desktop?

  • User setup to print to network printers in their dept (local printers if they have one)?

  • Setup Mapped network drives?

  • Email setup?

  • If thin client or SSD drive, uncheck offline exchange mode during manual setup (right below where you enter server)

  • Setup signature and turn on in the users email.

  • Scan system into helpdesk - verify it scanned successfully

  • If new system, enter monitors, etc into helpdesk.
