Pre-Operational Check

  • Are there enough hairnets and beard nets in the Changing Room?

  • Are all PPEs (overalls & gumboots) correctly stored? Everything should be in the right cubicle.

  • Are there enough hand soap, hand sanitiser and paper towels in the dispensers?

  • Is all equipment and tools clean and free from foreign matter?

  • Check for any chips or damages on all equipment - if there are any damages or chipped or broken parts of metal, raise this to Production Manager and QA immediately.

  • Are waste bins clean and accessible?

  • No product/packaging material directly on the floor?

  • Free from broken or damaged glass or hard brittle plastics?

  • Any other comments or observations?

Bag Sealer Checks

  • Both sets of Heating Plates are close together and aligned

  • Heating Bands are in good, undamaged condition

  • Both Temperature Controls have reached 140°C

  • Belt speed set at or below maximum (5)

  • Height of sealer is correct

  • 2 bags tested for complete seals

Scale Calibration

  • Check the scale number and use the correct test weight for the calibration.

  • Procedure: 1) Turn scale on. 2) Put test weight on the scale. 3)Let measurement stabilise. 4) Measurement should be within the range.

  • If the weight is out of the acceptable range, please escalate to QA.

  • POWDER ROOM: S11 - WEDDERBURN 150KG, SN20715113. Confirm if the weight is between 9.99 and 10.01. (Use 10KG test weight, TOLERANCE +-10g)

  • POWDER ROOM: S8 - WEDDERBURN 6KG, SN21114322. Confirm if the weight is between 1.998 and 2.002. (Use 2KG test weight, TOLERANCE +-2g)
