Statutory Inspections

  • Are statutory inspections of plant (as defined in the Inspections Regulations) carried out by an accredited organisation?

  • Are Written Schemes of Examination (WSE) produced and an onsite hard copy made available for review?

  • Are all Statutory Inspections recorded and made available to the BBC for review?

  • If applicable, is there evidence of reporting to the BBC, any incidents where (in the opinion of the Competent Person) plant is not meeting the requirements of the WSE or Inspection Regulations, including actions in cases of imminent danger?

  • Where a notice has been issued to the BBC (including actions in cases of imminent danger) has an inspection being carried out within 2 operating days?

  • Has the inspection been documented and have the corrective works, recommended by the Competent Person, been carried out prior to reinstating the plant and equipment?

  • Are the responsible Interseve staff able to log onto Zurich's Crimson Database and run a report for the property being audited?

  • Have any non-compliances (NCs) been brought to the attention of the Lift Maintainer within the timeframe recommended by Zurich?

  • Have items that were due for inspection but could not be found (Report of None Inspection - RONI) been brought to the attention of the responsible person and have they been advised that the item is no longer useable if out if date?
