Equipment Inspection Log has been completed each day that it is in service.

Visually inspect that operators are operating within the speed limit and using good driving techniques. (Signals, Horns, Pedestrian Yielding, Traffic Routes, Surface Conditions)

Inspect that no leaks exist on any equipment. Inspect welds, damaged cables, and guards. Inspect that tires are in good operating condition and good air pressure. Inspect lights and alarms

Inspect that Operators are operating within the restraints of the equipment. (Correct Load Sizes, Load Types, Load Angles)

Inspect for proper rigging, lifting/digging/driving techniques, and fork placement.

Mount and dismount facing the equipment using three points of contact, feet on the step and hand on the handles located at the seat and on the roll cage. Fasten your seatbelt immediately and keep the parking brake engaged until ready to move.

Travel without loads at a max of 6" above the ground and with loads as low as possible. Travel with all material/tools removed from inside the cab and all material/tools strapped down

Turn off the motor and engage the parking brake before getting out of the equipment.

Inspect that safety decals are in place and readable, and drive controls are labeled properly. Inspect that the manufacturer’s operations manual is in the vehicle.

Inspect that operator is trained to operate equipment and has EAS Training Card on person.
