Checklist Steps

  • 1. Area within the aperture is clean of any debris and any dust from the edges was removed

  • 2. Ablative Coated Batt was cut to the correct size and shape to fit the aperture ensuring that the batt make a tight fit with all edges of the aperture

  • 3. Acoustic Intumescent Sealant applied to all edges of the Batt ensuring that an even cover was achieved over the entire thickness of the Batt

  • 4. Gaps between the Batt and surrounding edges are fully filled

  • 5. Acoustic Intumescent Sealant applied approximately 15mm wide where cables pass thorough the Batt, ensuring that the sealant fully enclosed each cable within the tray or ladder and that all gaps are fully filled.

  • 6. Steep 4 and 5 repeated on the other side of the Batt
