Bus Tie Inspection

Inspection Check list

  • Inspection Requirement - Copy of JLE IFC drawings JLE-PRK-8941-107-0 must be onsite

  • KEY EXCHANGE METHOD:
    EITHER THE "A" KEY OR "B" KEY MUST BE REMOVED FROM THEIR CIRCUIT BREAKER AND INSERTED INTO THE EXCHANGE BOX TO RELEASE THE "C" KEY.
    THE "C" KEY CAN BE USED TO CLOSE THE BUS TIE CIRCUIT BREAKER INSIDE MSB2202.
    THE "C" KEY MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE BUS TIE CIRCUIT BREAKER AND INSERTED INTO THE EXCHANGE BOX TO RELEASE THE "A" OR "B" KEY

  • Confirm Only One "A" key has been supplied.

  • Confirm Only One "B" key has been supplied.

  • Confirm Only Two "C" key has been supplied.

  • Confirm the Key Exchange is mounted correctly and is accessible within the Switch room.

  • Confirm Labelling is as per JLE IFC drawings

  • Witness Photos of Keys and Exchange

  • Highlight/Mark up As Builds and take a photo

TEST ONE: Lock Out Bus Tie Feeder

  • Result to be Achieved: Bus Tie Feeder cannot be Operated while Key "C" is in Exchange on Either Board

  • Step 1.1 - Trap Key "A" at Supply 1 MSB2202

  • Step 1.2 - Trap Key "B" at Supply 2 MSB2212

  • Step 1.3 - Trap Key "C" in Exhange Box

  • TEST 1 - Perform Operation test on Bus Tie Feeder

TEST TWO: Lock Out of MSB2212 SPD

  • Result to be Achieved: MSB2212 cannot be Operated while Key "B" is in Exchange.

  • Step 1.1 - Trap Key "A" at Supply 1 MSB2202

  • Step 1.2 - Trap Key "B" at Exchange Box

  • Step 1.3 - Trap Key "C" in Bus Tie Feeder

  • TEST 2 - Perform Operation test on MSB2212 SPD

TEST THREE: Lock Out of MSB2202 SPD

  • Result to be Achieved: MSB2202 SPD cannot be Operated while Key "A" is in Exchange.

  • Step 1.1 - Trap Key "A" at Exchange Box

  • Step 1.2 - Trap Key "B" at Supply 2 MSB2212

  • Step 1.3 - Trap Key "C" in Bus Tie Feeder

  • TEST 3 - Perform Operation test on MSB2202 SPD
